Florianus

The heat in Tarsus is not healing,
comforting heat. The soldiers enjoy it,
but some are sick and can’t fight well.
They are used to the mountains. Nonetheless,
Florianus wakes in the morning and knows
he is right to be here, emperor, brother
of Tacitus, supported by the legions.
The serving women fetch
his best attires. He is again for Cydnus.
