A doctor pauses at Jess,<br \/>\nflat out, bay 3, announces, <em>I think she\u2019ll die<\/em>, <\/p>\n<p>marches on. The tea lady rattles through,<br \/>\nleaves Mum four egg sandwiches,<br \/>\ncalls me <em>lovely<\/em>. Mum hasn\u2019t eaten <\/p>\n<p>for sixteen days. At the window a seagull,<br \/>\nbeady-eyed, raps the glass.
