Descent<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">My Lord the Bodhisattva Mahasattva looks down<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">as the obese and diabetic roll along Methley Place<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">on mobility scooters, considers descent, whose aid,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">if any, he might enlist, his own fallibility. Dawn<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">but no sunrise. The Classification of Beings<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Greg gets twitchy if he starts to talk about the voices,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">gets twitchy goes home and drinks more, probably won\u2019t<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">come back and Joanne with her dyed red hair, drinking<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">a litre of vodka and swallowing phet drinks more<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">when she thinks about her boyfriend who died of liver damage<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">last year. Keith has stopped drinking but started falling over<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">three or four times a day for some reason and Dale<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">who comes in with a 3 litre bottle of Frosty Jack bulging out<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">from under his jacket sits in the group and babbles on about<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">how he could kill a BigMac or a KFC and when I take him<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">for a piss test asks me if I work with many people<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">as bad as him with it. The Lord, finding one lying alone<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">in his own piss and shit cleans him up and calls the monks<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">together: monks you have no mother, no father \u2013 who<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">if you won\u2019t tend to each other will tend to you? Scott<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">we sent straight off to A&amp;E with a tummy like a little<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">boulder, Ricki pretends he knows everyone<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">because he can\u2019t remember anything. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">III. Creating the Buddha-Land<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">He is toying with awkward marriages, unlikely offspring \u2013<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">His Buddha-Land emerging from the exhaust pipe<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">of a Black Van on the way to Wakefield, where the Pikeys<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">piebald horses graze, heaven in a drop of pollution,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">inexhaustible skillful means. He sees the Tigers<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">gold and black polyester shirts cupping the pigeon chests<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">of smokers with COPD and gets distracted \u2013 thinks<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">of other times, extravagant countries, monks<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">filing past his tooth in the great temple in Kandy,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">the supple hips of prostrate devotees, robes<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">and saris, magenta and saffron silks, swirling<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">incense. What luminaries can Castleford boast?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>Viv Nicholson<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> say the faithful &#8211; <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>Spend<br \/>\n<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>whenever you can. Don\u2019t bow your head<br \/>\n<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>to anyone.<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> Whoever holds the relic holds<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">the governance of the country.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">IV.
